Position summary:  

The Project Manager will be responsible for providing project management and administrative support for the company engineering and quality Functions.  The Project Manager will be responsible for working closely with estimation, design, manufacturing, and engineering to support our strategic business objectives.  


Job Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Develop Gantt charges for individual projects and/or customer orders received in Cases & Trays and Medical Molding
  • Work with design, engineering, production, and supply chain to establish critical milestones and timelines to meet customer requirements in terms of delivery
  • Assist in administrative functions of project-related assignments including overall planning, tracking and documentation of one or several projects from the project proposal phase to the project closeout
  • Document project meetings between design, engineering, customer service and sales
  • Coordination of pre and postproduction analysis
  • Document work instructions through interaction with operators on the floor
  • Develop and create SOPs, flow charts, for product line
  • Develop database for catalog to include, customer quotes, conceptual drawings, design drawings, artwork, approved drawings of layouts and artwork, prints for manufacturing
  • Compliance to Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Work in conjunction with the Supply Chain Manager to maintain the supplier forecast spreadsheets to keep our supplies abreast of upcoming work to meet the critical timelines in the project
  • Assist in the generation of a customer-specific requirement database to ensure a clear and concise record of quality documents in accordance with each project
  • Update and maintain metrics
  • Organize and schedule customer project meetings and publish meeting minutes
  • Track and maintain Gantt Charts for each project
  • Attend the weekly engineering meeting and publish meeting minutes
  • Coordinate order acceptance and release to production
  • Provide any required administrative support to the Engineering Manager
  • Attend the daily operations meetings in order to act as the liaison between customers and the support services
  • Assist in achieving an on-time delivery goal on new projects to the customer
  • Assist in achieving RFQ through put metric, OA/ RTP through put metrics
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profit
  • Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
  • Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work
  • Partner with other business segments:  sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance
  • Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve
  • Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly
  • Participate in required company meetings
  • Maintain an organized work area (5S)
  • Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
  • Complete all other work duties as assigned
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment


Job Requirements 

  • Associate Degree in Business Administration or a related field of study
  • 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Detail oriented and organized in terms of developing action plans, schedules, and timelines
  • Electronic recordkeeping and documentation
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents and blueprints
  • Working knowledge of QSM, ISO 13485, GMP, FDA regulation
  • Multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in timely manner
  • Ability to consistently achieve short and long-term business results
  • Ability to follow through on commitments and holds team members accountable


Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Engineering Experience
  • Continuing Education; including participation in local chapters, associations, and/or organizations
